Field of corn

When I look at all these tiny corn plants I think of all the work the farmer has already done to prepare the soil for these little guys. For one hope filled farmer this is his “field of dreams.” What is yours?

I have wanted to take this photo for some time now. I love the way the plant in the foreground is perfectly in focus and then as you go down the row it almost looks as if the row extends forever.

Flower along the path

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.” Prov 3:5,6

I was out for a Sunday afternoon stroll through the woods with my family when I noticed these bursts of purple along the edge of the path.

Barefoot boys

Snakes and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails,
That’s what boys are made of.
With dirt on his nose,
and scrapes on his knees,
the throwing or rocks,
and the climbing of trees,
with pockets of frogs,
and jars full of bugs
makes a sweet little boy
full of kisses and hugs!

Fallen tree

“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

We were walking through the woods when my fast pace, full of energy son stopped for just a moment to look around and listen.
